HOW TO OBTAIN A BURIAL FLAG FOR A VETERAN

Any honorably discharged veteran is entitled to a burial flag. The funeral director, as part of services that will make the necessary arrangements for the family on behalf of the veteran. The flag can be used to cover the casket and presented to the family as a souvenir. The local Department of Veterans Affairs can also provide information about how to get a flag for a deceased veteran.
